That annoying lag time between flipping the switch and actually hitting your peak heat. It’s a bottleneck that slows everything down. That’s exactly why we built these replacement IR bulbs. We wanted to kill that startup delay. The secret is in the heat density. To get your preforms to the right temperature without needing a bigger heater, we focused on the wattage-to-length ratio. Depending on your machine’s power rail—usually 230V or 400V—we’ve configured these to push more energy into the quartz envelope. Basically, you get a much denser IR flux. It just works. A quick heads-up on the trade-offs. These bulbs are workhorses. They’re designed for the constant on-off cycling of PET production without giving up the ghost. But here’s the thing: when you crank up the heat density, your cooling blowers have to work harder. If you go for maximum heat output to shave a few seconds off your cycle, keep an eye on your oven ventilation. If the air in the chamber gets too trapped, you might overheat the skin of the preform before it even hits the blow station. Keep the air moving, and you’re golden.
